New Dawn for Barguna BNP as Md. Nazrul Islam Mollah Takes the Helm
Mr. Mollah, known for his clean public image and integrity, has reportedly taken charge with a mandate to clear the "fog of allegation, division, and instability" that previously hindered local party activities. The new leadership aims to consolidate the organization, uniting various factions under "one team, one spirit, one dream."
In his inaugural announcement, the new Barguna President affirmed the committee's immediate goal: to realize the historic 31-Point Vision of acting party chairman Tareque Rahman, which is centered on restoring democracy, justice, and the voice of the people across Bangladesh.
The newly formed district committee outlined a comprehensive agenda focused on transformative governance, detailing four key promises to the electorate and party workers:
Transparent Leadership: Ensuring accountability and clarity in all organizational decisions.
Youth Empowerment and Moral Politics: Investing in the younger generation and adhering to ethical political standards.
Economic Reform and Rural Development: Prioritizing policies that boost the local economy and improve living standards in rural areas.
Social Harmony: Building unity under the banner of the nationalist spirit.
The leadership further invoked the "golden values" of the party’s founder, the late President Ziaur Rahman—self-reliance, honesty, and national unity—as the guiding principles for the journey ahead. The Barguna BNP leadership expressed confidence that with honesty as their "weapon" and the people as their "strength," they are ready to write a new chapter of hope and transformation for the district.
The restructure marks a significant moment for the BNP in Barguna, signaling a renewed push for organizational strength ahead of future national political action.
