The Nobel Laureate and Chief Advisor of Bangladesh’s Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has secured a place on the highly respected 2026 edition of ‘The Muslim 500: The World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims’ list. He is positioned at the 50th spot in this prestigious international ranking, an achievement widely regarded as a huge honour for Bangladesh.

The list is published annually by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre, an international research entity based in Jordan. Topping the 2026 list is the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, while the prominent Pakistani Islamic jurist, Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, holds the second position.

The inclusion of Dr. Yunus from Bangladesh is being hailed by prominent citizens as a reflection of enhanced national prestige.
