Soon after taking charge, she began on-site inspections across the district. She visited development projects, educational institutions, healthcare centers, roads, river erosion areas, and public service facilities. By directly communicating with local residents and officials, she identified real challenges and took steps to address them.

Long-Term Development Vision for Barguna-
DC Taslima Akhtar has already initiated long-term plans to improve every sector of Barguna, including river erosion prevention, waterway communication, fisheries and maritime economy, tourism, education, and healthcare. She continues to visit every upazila and remote areas to ensure proper monitoring of ongoing development activities.
